At the Pennsylvania Virtual Charter School we are constantly striving for ways to improve communication with our partner parents. In any school a solid avenue for communication is critical to a successful education, and that is amplified in the virtual model. With that in mind we are implementing a PAVCS-issued email account for each of our students and teaching parents. Your PAVCS-issued email now becomes the only email address that PAVCS will use for official email correspondences. All Blackboard accounts will be associated with the PAVCS-issued email address so any message sent trough Blackboard will go to the school provided email address. (ex. the forgot password link, teachers sending out global messages, etc.)
We are implementing this means of communication for a number of reasons.
As this is a PAVCS-issued email it should only be used for school-related correspondences (student to teacher, teacher to student parent to teacher, etc). All PAVCS policies related to student Code of Conduct also apply to usage of the PAVCS-issued email address. Users will only be allotted 50 MB of storage space associated with the PAVCS-issued email, so families should budget their storage and use of attachments.
